Assurance, in the context of risk, provides an independent and professional opinion of the adequacy and effectiveness of an internal control environment. Decision makers can make more informed, and presumably better, decisions as a result of positive assurance. For example, project leaders may want to receive assurance that their project is being effectively led, project deliverables are realistic and risks impacting on those deliverables are being effectively identified and managed.

Our service would be tailored to your needs and can be provided as a one off intervention or throughout the lifetime of a project or partnership.


Coaching involves working on a one to one or group basis, to assist individuals and groups realise their potential and improve performance through the use of structured conversations, using tried and tested coaching techniques. Solutions to issues are identified, actions to implement those solutions are developed and monitoring arrangements made to ascertain whether the identified solutions are effective. A coaching relationship is confidential between the coach and coachee and the approach taken is informal, with the level of challenge and feedback agreed with the coachee at the outset.

Our service would consist of a confidential arrangement between ourselves and the client and would normally take the form of a pre agreed number of individual sessions. Organisations may find this service to be of benefit for team members who are facing challenges in respect of organisational change.

Risk and Insurance Management

Risk, in the context of organisational effectiveness, concerns future uncertainty and may include matters which adversely impact on the delivery of objectives, for example the delivery of day to day services, completion of transformational projects and risks arising from working in partnership with other organisations. To ensure organisational objectives are achieved, risks need to be identified, assessed, prioritised and actions undertaken to reduce those risks. Risk is the flip side of opportunity and the techniques used to identify risks can also be used to assist in the decision making process when considering opportunities.

Risks should be identified, assessed and prioritised and further actions identified and assigned to ensure those risks are reduced. Our service offering can be delivered in a number of ways that are simple to understand and effective to the point that organisatonal and personal objectives are more likely to be achieved. Methods can include facilitated workshops, structured one to one conversations and / or the use of simple questionnaires, ensuring that the views of the whole organisation are captured and considered. Training sessions can also be delivered to teams to ensure that the consideration and management of risk sits at the heart of your organisation's culture.

Insurance management relates to the administration of an organisation's insurance arrangements, as an integral part of a corporate wide approach to the management of risk. Existing arrangements can be reviewed and assurance provided to the client as to the effectiveness of those arrangements. We also provide insurance strategy consultancy and interim insurance management and administration services.
